If I Was To
by BRTSH KNIGHTS
— Released 10th June 2013 on Technicolour
South London production collective, BRTSH KNIGHTS, throw down the gauntlet with their first official release, the double A-side single of "If I Was To" and "Hazed".
This debut offering fuses classic house and garage with high-grade production. "If I Was To" deploys bouncing synths and the incredibly addictive "reciprocate" vocal hook whilst flipside "Hazed" is a dark, smokey slice of R&B with reverberating snares and super sweet vocals.

Dwellers of murky south London backstreets, BRTSH KNIGHTS are proudly nostalgic for a time when music had soul, style and swing, a time of lavish living and unrestrained lovemaking, a time of now-decrepit splendour and extravagance, a faded kingdom. Their songs of lust and longing pass through the crackling filter of pirate radio stations, rebounding off the decaying walls of tower blocks, becoming entwined with wails of nearby sirens, leaving behind a trail of exuberant colour.
